So the first unit of hirdmen is completely finished. 15 models ranked 5 wide, 3 deep. That gives me 250 points of troops and even more when I upgrade the champion to become a hero. They also have a berserker in the front rank. The spears are made from 1.2mm brass wire with hammered and files tips to represend the spearheads. This is quite some work, but I think it's worth the afford as these guys are planed to hit the gaming table and cast metal spears will start to bend sooner or later during transport. They are mounted on 20mm GW bases just to give you an idea on the size of the models. They are fairly large and should work well with any heroic size Warhammer models. More vikings are likely to hit the homepage next week.
