The paintsheme of heavy black warpaint is inspired by Kevin Dallimore's incredible ancient germans which are pictured in an older issue of Wargames Illustrated. I especially liked the idea to paint also the hair of some of the guys with black stripes as this gives them some unnatural look which adds to the mythological appearance of this unit.
